PLICO

Elegant Picnic Accessory

Our project involved designing an accessory for sale in The Polygon Gallery shop in North Vancouver. We began with broad ideation, compiling lists of daily rituals and creating charts to identify common themes and needs. By addressing the common ritual of picnicking, we aimed to create an accessory that is both practical and desirable, enhancing the user’s connection to nature and leisure activities. Through group collaboration and sketching various ideas, we ultimately settled on our final concept, a tambour picnic bag accessory.

The tambour picnic bag is designed to enhance the experience of outdoor dining, emphasizing convenience and style. The bag features a unique folding and rolling mechanism that makes it compact for transport and expands into a functional and stylish accessory for picnics. This design not only caters to the practical needs of outdoor dining but also adds an element of elegance and innovation to the experience.
